Haven’t been following this guy’s videos, but previewing the first few seconds tells me that yeah, he’s playing a joke. The intro looks fake AF, particularly that bit with the nonsensical “debris” on the car, and the “chicken farmer” posing with his rake all American Gothic style.

Meanwhile in Atlanta, I saw a crowd of 100 people on dirt bikes and quad bikes doing coordinated wheelies downtown with a single officer in an ATV to hold back traffic. Apparently unreg isterable offroad toys are really popular here for late night bombing with no repercussions .

Same here in NYC (not 100 though, more line 2-5 at a time). Police do nothing.

I mean they could have sent more than one officer to prevent another incident with bikers vs idiots in cars. It is hard to get a good picture but there were a whole lot of them. Maybe not 100 but not too far off. Took a while for them all to go past.

No, that’s how all of his videos are. He’s the Tesla rebuild guy that Tesla screwed over then Elon Musk’s fanbois kept reporting his videos to YT because he just wanted to move on to something else.  The “chicken farmer” is his friend and fellow YTer Samcrac. Samcrac originally purchased the car, rebuilt it, then let it sit out on his farm in Florida because he got bored/busy/distracted/etc. So Rich purchased the car from him and spent the last 3-4 weeks offering updates on repairs and upgrades.

Yeah, that was dumb even though I bet the majority of Oppo has done something similar at least once in their past — even if they didn’t get caught. But it was the way he put the phone down in the passenger’s seat and how quick the cops went from license & registration to confiscate and step out of the car (probably due to editing), all with no footage of the officer(s) involved, has me thinking it’s all part of the long game to a joke or it’s no way as serious as he made it out to be.

If that’s the case, he should have ended it like this:
